Developed by students of the Arrese-Alvarez Chair, of the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Urbanism of the University of Buenos Aires.
The starting point was a needs program prepared by members of the Association, in conjunction with teachers and directors of the School.
Descriptive memory:
From the formulation of two axes that consolidate the two urban fronts, is that the operating system of the project. Having a large articulating shaft that it manages to cross the entire property, linking the different parts and stages of the program, and that later becomes a street in which the workshops of the different specialties, the theoretical classrooms of the upper cycle and the services with possible differentiated use converge; the dining room, the library and the conference room
A building designed in a way efficient and moderate in the use of construction materials; energy reduction for heating, cooling, lighting and other equipment. The building in this way has the capacity to teach and educate to its occupants to respect the environment and promote energy saving.
It has differentiated access for transport of loading and unloading, personnel vehicles, vehicles that take and collect students, vehicles of the general public in special activities, with their parking lots.
The chosen project, meets the guidelines of the needs program and allows great flexibility for growth, in addition to having a clear approach to differentiated uses in the programs that allow it. Thus the school becomes a landmark in the city, allowing it to open its doors to the community.
